Six young couples dreamed of a countryside retreat in Brandenburg. A place for weekend getaways and holidays, where their children could grow up surrounded by nature. Their search led them to Lindenhof, a 475m² former farmhouse set between Berlin and Hamburg. Originally built in 1900, the property was refurbished in the 1990s, when a second floor was added and the house was divided into five separate apartments.
The new owners, a group of young Berliners, sought to reimagine the space with generous, shared rooms to suit their communal lifestyle: a home cinema, a spacious open kitchen, a cozy living area with a fireplace, an outdoor sauna, and a large dining table to bring everyone together.
Throughout the renovation, care was taken to preserve the traditional character of the farmhouse, retaining its red brick walls, exposed beams, and introducing new flooring reminiscent of classic countryside homes. Carefully selected vintage and thrifted pieces add individuality and soul. The result is a harmonious fusion of old and new, where the farmhouse’s authentic charm is seamlessly blended with contemporary comfort and style.
